How Americans Can Buy American

How Americans Can Buy American

Hello fellow Americans!!

I realize we live in a fast-paced world and don't have the time to check out the batteries in the smoke alarm, much less to actually take the time to read the labels on the products we buy to run our households. I believe this a very important issue in today's world. We see on the news more and more everyday about all the recalls of products made in other countries. Why have we come to the point where we can no longer be assured that the everyday products we buy are not made in and controlled by the standards of the USA?
I realize that it is cheaper to buy products made in other countries. Probably because they don't have to undergo the standards that our companies have to undergo to manufacture their products in America. That is why American products are probably a little bit higher to buy than the products made in other countries. This attracts American companies to buy foreign products and sell them at a nice profit. But how do they get by without having to undergo the standards that all American products have to undergo? This isn't fair to hard-working Americans and American companies who have to sell their products at a higher price because it costs to have their products to be evaluated and researched in order to get the selling rights in the USA.
Hopefully this Blog will get us all to look more closely at the products we buy and to buy American products!!
I will start out by saying that I have been looking more closely at the pet products I buy and I am proud to say, "They are American made!" Here are some of the stuff that I buy for my dog, Petey: Purina Dry Dog Food(www.purina.com), Canine Carry Outs, K-9 Jerky Strips and American Beefhide (www.petfactory.com). My cat, Spanky gets: Scoop Away Cat Litter(www.scoopaway.com) and Purina Kit & Kaboodle Cat Food.
I have only begun to read the labels on the boxes of stuff that I buy, so bear with me as I continue to rant and rave about the importance of buying products that are:"Proudly Made in the USA!" Thank you.
